Happy Three Months!

Savannah has turned three months old and she is a bundle of joy!  She is such a good baby, I do not know what I did to deserve her.  She is sleeping 12 hours a night in her swaddle blanket-from 8pm to 8am.  She takes a few short naps throughout the day because our schedule is a bit crazy.  Sophia goes to school on Mondays and Fridays from 9-2:30.  I'm going to probably start an official nap time next month.  She is rolling over like crazy from back to front and is holding on to toys.  Of course everything goes in her mouth and she smiles all the time. And she LOVES her big sister and watches her every move.

Two Months Old

My sweet Savannah is all smiles this month!  She has grown so much and wants to be a big kid like her sister Sophia.  Her weight is 12lbs 10oz (90%) and length is 15.25 in (82%).  She is a pound lighter than Sophia and a bit longer.  She is doing great with sleeping and only waking up once around 3am to eat and then we wake up for the day around 8:30am.

Savannah's First Month

My little girl is already one month old!  She is such a joy and I'm having so much fun having a newborn again.  Savannah is a really good sleeper and eater-much like her sister Sophi!  I usually wake up twice to feed her and she goes right back to sleep so I don't mind getting up.  We are so blessed to have two healthy girls.

Holidays 2013

Having a newborn during the holidays is definitely a challenge.  Even though I spent much of the time in a bedroom feeding Savannah, we still managed to have a great time with family (and it also helped having Mel in the same boat and keeping me company with Chloe!).  However, what I did not manage to do was take many pictures.  I was so grateful to no longer be pregnant and to spend time with my two precious girls.  Here are some of the pics I did take:

11-12-13!!!

My due date was Monday, November 11, and much to my dismay, I went in for my check-up, still 4 cm dilated and not going into labor.  We scheduled my induction for that Thursday and I went home knowing that we were not going to meet our little girl until then.  Early the next morning, around 2am, I woke up to use the restroom and noticed that I was having contractions that were close together.  I decided to stay up for a little bit and time them, but I was not getting my hopes up because I had done this so many times already.  For the next two hours the contractions kept coming 6-8 minutes apart and they were getting stronger.  I finally woke Scott up thinking this may actually be the real deal.  We called the Doctor around 5am and she said to come to the hospital, so I called my Mom to come to our house and stay with Sophia.  By 6am, I was showered, packed, and ready to deliver this baby!  We arrived at the hospital at 6:30 on the special date of 11-12-13 and Savannah Elizabeth was born at 10:37 am after pushing for only 2 contractions.  She weighed 7lbs 9oz, was 19.5 in long, and absolutely perfect.
Such a sweet girl:)

Can't believe I'm holding her!

Finally a family of four!

The holidays are going to be so special with Savannah finally here!  I feel so blessed that I am a Mom to two healthy, beautiful girls:)

My Little Lady Bug!

Scott and I really thought(and hoped) that this Halloween we would be in the hospital having a baby and Sophia would not get to go trick-or-treating this year.  But, our little Savannah had other plans and we dressed Sophia up as a lady bug to go try trick or treating for the first time.  I handed out candy while Scott took Sophia around the neighborhood.  I was a little worried that Sophia would be a little shy going up to stranger's doors, but it turned out that she loved it and didn't want to stop!

Sophia's 2 Year Check-Up

Last week, Sophia went to our pediatrician for her 2 year check-up.  She did great, and is really observant during doctor's appointments, especially since I have been going so often for pregnancy check-ups.  Her measurements are still top of the charts at: Height-35.5 inches (88%) and weight is 30.5 pounds (87%).

Currently she can:
  • Sing her ABC's
  • Knows her colors
  • Can put on her own pants and shoes
  • Sleeps in a "Big Girl" bed

Some of her Favorites:
  • Her cousin, Avery
  • Fruit Snacks
  • My Little Pony-watching and coloring
  • Movie-The Lorax
  • Reading any and all books
  • Animals-especially dogs
